After the long years of destruction and bereavement in our area
It is time to stop the cycle of violence
It is time to hear the voices of women and mothers
Who know how to listen
Who show compassion
Who know how to mediate
Who suffer and fear without hatred
It is time to understand that there is no one-sided solution
It is time to MEDIATE

Mediators in the search for peace must be professional women as well as men
Women can lead to a breakthrough in the peace negotiations

We call on the decision-makers
To take initiative, show courage and determination, and be resourceful

The conflict will not end until we talk
We do not bear children for war
We solve conflicts with words, not violence
